File Management

File Management in Application depends on the type of database. For File-based Databases, Kushal Creates File Menu and for Server Based Databases Kushal will Create Databases Menu. Both serve the same purpose in managing multiple projects.

Configure Server Based Database (MS SQL and My SQL)

To Configure Server Based Database Application, Kushal enables you to create multiple databases (accounts) within a single application.

To configure database follow the steps shown below.

Click Databases.

Click Configure Database.

Configure Database window opens.

Click the New Button.

Enter Database and Server Details

(Name: Name of the Company / Connection string name which will display on Login window)

Click Save.

If given credentials are valid then Database will get created on the Server. The same database is used throughout the application.

If the given database already exists in the Server, the application will then get connected to the same database.

To work with the created database, click on Switch Database

If you have selected the User Management option in your application, then you will get a Login screen.

Select Company name, enter Username and password and click on Login button.

If you have not selected User Management, then you will get List of Databases window.

Select the Database over the grid and click on Switch.

To Close, the database click on Close Database

To close the Application click on Exit.

Configure File-Based Database (MS Access, SQLite and SQLCE)

Configuring File Base Database in the application which is generated by Kushal is very easy. Kushal enables you to create multiple files (accounts) on a single application.

To configure a database file follow the steps shown below

Click on File

Click on New file

Enter the Database File Name.

Select path to store database file.

Please ensure that you have read and write privileges for the given path. Click Set as Default.

This option will set the given path as the default path for future created files by you.

Click Save.

Now a Database file will get created in the specified path and you can use it throughout the application.

To open already created database files, Click on Open file .

Select the path and file.

Recent files option will show recently used files for the application.

To close currently opened Database file click Close File.

To close the application, click Exit.

Connection String: For-each of the databases connection string will change.
